Our new toy!

As my last post said, Eric just turned 30. The weekend before his birthday, he finally talked me into letting him buy the motorcycle he has been asking for since we got married. I like to tease him by saying that he is going through a mid-life crisis. Not only did he buy a motorcycle, but he is also growing a beard for the first time. Need I say more? Anyhoo, the motorcycle is really fun to ride and I got an awesome white helmet with pink flowers on it out of the deal. I finally took some pictures of the bike, so I thought I would post them. So, without further ado, I'm proud to present:

Mid-life Crisis

Eric's 30th birthday

Last Thursday, Eric turned 30 years old! To celebrate, his parents treated the whole family to dinner at McGrath's Fish House. It was supposed to be a secret, but a certain birthday well-wisher accidentally spilled the beans (you know who you are ;-D). Dinner was fantastic and we had a delicious tres leches birthday cake afterward. I didn't get to take as many pictures as I wanted to because my children required my full attention, but I did get a few good shots.

I love this shot

Got them to taste lemons, but they never really made sour faces. So disappointing!

A special picnic "nunch"

Ayden decided he wanted to eat lunch at his special picnic table today. This was the first time Anna had eaten a meal while sitting in a chair by herself other than a highchair. She did really good and only fell out of the chair once :-D. Have no fear, though, super mama was there to catch her right before she bonked her head on the floor, whew!

All about The Goose

It's been a while since I've given an update on Anna, and since she learns something new practically every day, I have a lot to tell! The Goose is quite the conversationalist and knows a bunch of words. She says mama, dada, Bella, Otis, dog, ball, baby, ta-da, more, night-night, yummy, hi, and bye-bye. I am really looking forward to her saying Ayden, but so far, unless I've missed it, she hasn't said his name yet.

Not only does she use a lot of real words, but she knows most of the signs that I've taught her. She can say all done, more, eat/hungry, please, thank you, water, and her most recent one (she just learned it yesterday) is help. Now, I'm not saying Anna uses all of these completely regularly, because she is a stubborn child, but she has said and will say all of them when her Highness deems it necessary.

Anna is constantly carrying around a baby doll or two. and has just recently figured out how fun it is to carry a purse around, as well! Let me tell you, she is all girl, through and through! She will even put her baby in the stroller and push it around.

She walks really well now and is almost starting to run. She loves to be chased and hightails it as fast as she can go until either you grab her, or she hits something and falls down. She has also recently realized that she can turn in a circle and get really dizzy. It's pretty darn cute to watch!

While I was writing this blog entry, Eric called me into the playroom and told me to bring my camera. Apparently, Anna had been trying to try on Ayden's "superhero" glasses, so Eric put them on her. Priceless!

Super Woman!
Notice she has her purse and her phone :o)

And off they go!

Back on they go!
(well, she tried anyway)

Fresh air!

We had an unexpected day of nice weather yesterday, so I took the kids to a grassy area across the street from our house. It was so much fun and a much needed break from being indoors!
