Big, huge, gigantic, mega post

Ok, so I've been a little lazy about updating my blog lately. This post is going to be pretty huge and random so I can get caught back up.

These next two were taken a month and a half ago. I don't know why they never made into a previous blog post, but oh well, they are here now.

We love making faces for the camera. It immortalizes our dorkiness, and it's fun!

This is the ever popular, "eww, my wife just tooted!" face

I'm a little disappointed in this face, it's just not very creative. I know I can do better!

When told to make a silly face for the camera, Ayden struck a pose which included his hands as well as his tongue.

This is Anna's silly face. What it lacks in silliness it makes
up for in cuteness.

♫ "Ladies with an attitude
Fellows that were in the mood
Don't just stand there, let's get to it
Strike a pose, there's nothing to it
Vogue!" ♪

There, we go! Now that is a silly face that I can be proud of!

And now, presenting The Top Dog of Tomfoolery!
The Master of Madness!
The Ace of Absurdity!
The Star of Silliness Himself:
Mr. Eric Knepprath and his marvelous impersonation of a bug on a windshield!

I got super lucky and got this great picture of Ayden when he didn't hold his silly face long enough and my little camera took longer to take the picture than it was supposed to.

Two weeks ago, the kids and I went to the park with my Papa and step-mom, Susan.

Ayden's first order of business was to rope his Uncle Boyd into
pushing him on the swings

Anna made sure the slide was up to snuff

Papa was the official catcher

Drats! Sand in the shoes is the worst!

And more sand in the shoes. It was never ending! Now I really appreciate the newer parks that have bark rather than sand.

Last week the kids and I went to the Boise Zoo with Aunt Jen, Makiah, Josiah, and Isaiah. It was our second time visiting the zoo this year, but the first time we really got to play with all the new stuff. Last time we went, if you'll recall, a bunch of the area elementary schools were having field trips that day.

Last Saturday, we went to Settler's Park to help celebrate cousin Jade's birthday. Ayden hadn't played in the water portion of the park since '07 and it was Anna's very first time! The weather was not the best, it was in the 70's, overcast, and a little breezy but I brought the kids' water gear anyway.

Ayden and cousin Toby got right to it

He was soon cold, though, and opted to get dressed
and play on the playground instead

Nothin' like havin' a wedgie at the park. Sometimes you just gotta take care of business, though, ya know?

Still battling that darn wedgie

Isn't her new outfit the cutest!

She finally started flirting with the water

And then running away (it was so cute!)

I thought it would be too cold for her, but I didn't want her to get her outfit wet, so I finally relented and put her in her swimsuit.

Boy, was I wrong! She absolutely loved playing in the water
and got right in it.

The birthday girl, Jade

This is such a cute picture of the two of them. That's just a cute little stranger in the background, though

Anna finally did get cold. After getting re-dressed, she wandered around the park with Grandma and Levi
